Those that have been before will know that Cutcombe Horse Show & Gymkhana is a fun day out. Whether you are competing or just watching the Show is an excellent day out for all the family. We are often blessed with lovely weather and being situated so close to Dunkery Hill Gate, we couldn't wish for better scenery too Of course there are horse and pony showing classes - including our ever popular Mountain and Moorland classes - as well as a dedicated show jumping ring, clear round jumping and the gymkhana in the afternoon but Cutcombe Show has lots more to offer besides. There are the family dog and terrier shows plus dog agility displays and the opportunity try the agility with your own dog. The fancy dress competition is always worth watching and we are lucky to have the Minehead Harriers parading in the main ring too. There will be a licensed bar, home made refreshments and a barbecue on site so you can enjoy a leisurely lunch, whilst deciding which bit of the show is most deserving of your attention! Cutcombe Horse Show was originally set up to encourage young people in the area to compete in competitions with their ponies and to raise money for the local school. Having celebrated the shows Silver Jubilee in 2011 it is an established event on the local show calendar, which is enjoyed by veteran and novices alike and has raised thousands of pounds for local charities and good causes in the Wheddon Cross area over the years. We hope you like our website and it provides the information you are looking for. We will endeavour to keep it as up to date as possible, both in the run up to the Show and with the results afterwards. A final paragraph really needs to say a huge thank you to everyone that contributes in any way to the Show. An enormous amount of work goes into organising an event like this and it really would not be possible without the many, many volunteers that so generously give up their time both on the day as well as during the weeks and months running up to the Show - we really could not do it without you!
